Cool-blue Rhythm question for you Intense guys....

Allright....im looking for some kind of heady duty XC rig.

I found a brand new 03 INTENSE TRACER with a fox ava RL.
Frame is powercoated grey and it looks beatifull. Its my size too.

    Its all going for $950.

    Good deal?

I was looking for something a little more sturdy like the SL or 5spot.
SL is hard to find new and 5spot is expensive.

I just know the TRACER is proven!

    Thanks

    Killer dea!
You can build up a Tracer many ways. No problem using it as a "heady duty" trail bike or X country rig. I have mine set up as such, with big rims and tires, and strong durable parts. I use a coil shock at times, or use the air shock when I want to lighten it up a bit. Just got a Fox Vanilla fork, so that will add to the stoutness of my Tracer.
Just remember to use common sense, and not drop of buildings and you will be fine with a Tracer. I weigh 190lbs and have been riding my 2002 very hard without any problems.

    Enjoy her,

its by far the best bike ive ever owned. im a 200lb guy and wanted a durable cross country rig. i have mine set up with light yet durable parts and its a resectable 26ish pounds. ill put it this way if you want a do it all bike this is the one for you. and at that price it is a steal. i paid around 1600 for my frame.

Oh sorry. I think it is just personal taste. I have an annodized frame, I like mine. But I am not opposed to a painted frame. I was offered a deal on a 2002 Grey annodized frame(my main ride) from Intense and took it that color. I recently bought a black painted 2003 Tracer frame, and think that is just as sweet.
As far as I know Intense does not powder coat. Just annodize, paint, and polished frames.
