Velopark Skillz Workday 9/1 at 9am

Come and help us build the Skillz Park at the Velopark. Meet at 9am and bring a cordless drill if you own one. We will have a couple of loads of lumber to work with and lots of holes to drill for posts.

If anyone has saw horses or impacters to put in screws that will be great. Or 18V batteries for Rigid tools.

i'll be there, anyone have a small portable generator? I'd be happy to bring my Dewalt and my cordless.

I'm planning on bringing some 4x4's too that I've had stored in my garage for a while

Is there a set plan for what is going to be built? I've been looking for some good ideas here and there, if anyone has been up to Beacon Hill we could sure use your expertise or if we can incorporate some of the ideas from the Colonnade Bike Park in Seattle that'd be kind fun too.

Here's what Brad just sent out for the work tomorrow...

Quick reminder for the volunteer day at the bike park in the morning at 9:00 (Monday - Labor day). Many of you are probably out of town, but if you are feeling the need to labor to help celebrate the holiday, we could use your help. We will be working on some of the first features at the skills park. I would also like to shape and pack the jumps on the beginner dirt jump line if enough volunteers show up - we need to get that area finished up so it will be ready for Trailpalooza. The other day when we met to finish the jump line there were only a few people there and we got sand blasted with a wind storm. See you in the morning. Brad Nelson

chris, post up the next work day for the skills park when it happens and I'll gladly come work again. Let me know if there is anything I can do, rake weeds out of lines, build more ladders, etc...

    What/where is Velopark?
Every day you don't get out and ride is a day you'll never get back.
