SWIMBA Announces Expansion of the Adopt-a-Trail Program

BOISE - The Southwest Idaho Mountain Bike Association (SWIMBA) and the Ridge to River Cooperative have come together to help expand the Adopt-a-Trail program first started two years ago with the Adoption of Lower Hulls Gulch by SWIMBA. SWIMBA’s goal was to take the burden of trail maintenance off of Ridge to Rivers and put it onto the shoulders of local volunteers. After two successful years working out the details of the program, the program was ripe for expansion. This year through the amazing work of Mike Burkhart the Adopt-a-Trail program has expanded to include 10 organizations from around the valley. SWIMBA would like to thank those organizations who have offered their time to give back to the trails.

SWIMBA has been supporting the Ridge to Rivers trail system for many years by assisting in trail building and maintenance. The Adopt-a-Trail program is just one way both groups help to ensure a quality Mountain Biking experience in the Boise Foothills.
