Sweet Connie - Origin of Name

After riding Eastside, Sweet Connie, etc. yesterday, got into a discussion about the origin of the name. Is this from the Grand Funk song? If so, what's the connection?

I think the only thing you have kissed is the ground on some of your landings!
In fact, the only person(s) to have touched your beans was that nurse when you got intimate with your bike upon "landing" a couple of months ago !!

Here is the deal once and for all about 'Sweet, Sweet Connie'. First, Brad Gillette and Matt Newbill named it. They were joking around and it was so funny watching them make each other laugh like little school boys that it stuck. The name is Sweet twice and then comes the Connie. Because it was such a huge find to see another near ridge to valley descent that we thought it deserved a additional verb, but sweet was all that could be said. There is a letter to the editor going in to National Geographic Adventure becuase they got it wrong!
