SummitFest can best be described as a "zoobie" - a zoo full of newbies. I think it's great for people experimenting with the sport or those who want to ride but aren't good climbers - and I'm all about promoting the sport and gaining new followers of the sport - but not an event for the established regular rider, unless you want to get stuck behind people all day.

Nope, the established hardcore riders much more enjoy those 100 mile social dirt road rides.

The lifts will also be going for those down wind riders as well. What a great combination, newbies and Mt. Dew amped teenagers with 8 inches of travel, no knowledge of trail etiquette, and full faced helmets.

It could be like human bowling.
