    some of the "site"

    and more ...

We did a poker run, with horseback riders as one of the dealers, out on the shared trails, we used one of the small cabins for a dealer station in the park, it wasa poker run treasure hunt having to use the maps to find the dealers, and a shot of John Stamstad, who provided skills clinics on the bernard ride. all in all an awesome time!

    Happy trails,

I see you have pix of the already infamous Bernard-Scout hammer fest.
please note chick in center... tales have it that she seriously kicked the ass of every guy on that ride... and she's 17. Go Emma.

Edit - she kicked everyone but indiemtbkr's. He is the only one I talked to who wasn't whining about it.

I'll post my girls gone wild pics later. thanks for the good times, CT!

    Formica,

I may want to hook up for your pics, I am doing an overall Photo CD, from all the pics I can gather, as well as the DVD for the Observed Trials comp.

So you and Gabrielle will be stars!

Those face plants hurt me, just watching. I'm glad you gave it a try...and were able to bounce back up from that and continue. You've got a year to prepare for the competition at the 2nd annual CDM

Glad to see kids out there competing too! Hopefully next year we get more. Did anyone get any pictures of the trials event? I only have video.

Yeh, that chick was pretty kick-ass. At least I redeemed myself on the trials course

Here's some of my pics from the trials. If I had any pics of formica eating it I'd post those too

This kid was pretty hardcore... no fear and crashes wouldn't phase him.

    Here are mine:

Princess Gabrielle graduated to Big Girl Pedals saturday a.m. Here she is putting cleats on her shoes.

the non hammer fest gals ride. Take a note of 11 year old Kira on the right, she's kicking ass and taking names at the local bmx track.

Here's the princess on the trials course. My camera sort of had a spaz on this set of pix, but I sorta saved it with photoshop. This was her first time ever on a trials bike

I've got a few more but I need to resize them.

She was definitely a sport about the whole thing. I saw her go back and ride that section again and almost cleaned it. Notice 20 month old Silas in the background thinking "next year.....next year...."

    New question here.

    Dumb question of the day.....

Did N. Idaho get any snow?

How high up are these trails?

    Yes we had snow

Average elevation at the base is around 2400 ft, Bernard Mtn Goes up to 5K , there still was about 10 feet of snow on the north side, and in the ravines, so the ride went up as far as it could on the single track before returning to middle earth. I would say it went up to about 3500. We spent the previous month clearing trail with chainsaws and hand saws , we had a heck of a windstorm last year that caused havoc.

No problem. I encourage you to get a trials bike. We picked up my wife's for $400, new. It's a mod (20" wheels) rather than a stock like mine (26" wheels). Cody and Nathan, who competed in the sport class will most likely end up getting new bikes once they get into it more. There may be an opportunity to pick up one of their mods. PM me sometime with any questions you have.

If you get into this, and Keira and Penny return for more, along with my wife (after the baby), we could have a women's division in the competition next year. My wife seemed pretty excited about the thought of that.

OH lord no, not that video. My Superman imitation.

    ok I gotta see em!

Ok I do need to see these videos! We also have a dvd of the entire Trials event coming in the next couple weeks. Formica, Gabrielle, can you burn your to CD and get them to me? Also, I just added a Full Moon Hiawatha Ride to the upcoming rides, June 30, starting at midnight, and running to Dawn, with Champagne Memosas and Breakfast served at the end of the ride. It is a really fun way to spice up the Hiawatha trail
Zebdi, Ping me off line about the Trials comp for this summer, I may tag it with a day of riding, and doing a mellow paced Bernard ride with the trials ....
