Ticks season is here - I found one on my dog this morning.
FYI, I live in northwest Boise.

Haven't seen one yet in the East end, but I'm sure they're coming. I've brushed off a half dozen of the little devils after some spring rides before.

New hobby, rolling in the leaves? Hah! I haven't found any yet, but probably need to check more now.

lots of bushwack hiking and exploring new terrain. plus ground squirel control with my back against a tree for an hour. It is kind of typical for me this time of year.

tim208 - have you considered getting yourself a flea and tick shot at your vets? Just kidding man, but you really seem to be a tick magnet. Hopefully your wife or GF gives you a good once-over everytime you return from the woods.

I hear ya. I usually average a dozen a season, most was 40.
I have been pulling ticks off of me all my life. But i just do alot of bushwacking this time of year. the wife is up to 3. and yes it is fun to check for ticks.

We've been using Frontline on our dog. I hate the stuff and hate the application day when it's wet for awhile. I would love to try the oral flea and tick meds. I've heard mixed reviews on World Pet Express . Anyone use it on their pets? What do you think?

Found a tick crawling up my arm last night. Then I checked out the dog and found a dead one on her. I give her oral Bravecto K-9 that's supposed to kill or prevent fleas and ticks. Looks like it works for ticks.
