Paging Back2Kill

    Hey Jack,

would you be willing to lead a ride out in the Owyhees and show me or us those technical trails/sections you had posted about a while back?

Oh, hey! I kinda forgot about that! Indeed, it would be fun!....

I kinda drug my feet last year knowing the logistics would be tricky to work out. While I'm working on that, let me stoke your fire.

We would basically be running the following trails in the Owyhees:

Lost Trail & 2-Headed Dragon: I suggest we start at the top of Lost Trail and ride about 15 miles (mostly downhill) with a super-technical shortcut in the middle called 2-Headed Dragon.

and if we had enough time....

Meatgrinder & Carnage Canyon: We could have the returning shuttle drop us at the top of a super-fun & technical trail called Meatgrinder. Then, cross the road and drop down into Carnage Canyon. These two trails can be sandy, but they are short & completely downhill!

You can find tons of information and pictures of these trails from any search engine. But I warn you, the most common users of these trails may not be of your political and social liking.

The bottom line is that these are fun & official trails mapped and supported by the BLM for all our enjoyment.

    Yes!

Doug & Daryl - Those look beautiful, rockilicious pics. When I am back in the saddle I want in. Maybe I can convince the wife to shuttle us too...

The more the merrier, as far as I'm concerned. It's not like speed is gonna be an issue.

I've started working some of my logistical issues and will keep ya'll posted.

Unfortunately, this Saturday is completely out for me. I am working in Idaho Falls this week and won't be back in time.

In the meantime, I've got the ball rolling and will continue to push it. Doug

Wish I were game Warren and Dave, but I too am not able to get out for said shuttle runs this Sat. If you go, take some more pics. My goal is to ride rocks once a week to be amply prepared for Moab next year.

Man I wish! I don't think the Astro was built for rock crawling though Al. I did, however, take her offroad a few times on a fishing trip, her torque and climbing ability was pretty impressive though!

Looking forward to riding very soon...

EDIT: THAT IS A KILLER VID, THANKS FOR POSTING!
