    Older Model Bikes

I used to frequent these boards for a while. I am an avid mountain biker and am looking to get back into it (some clown stole my bike from BSU a few years ago, thus my absence). However, I don't have that much money. I got lucky enough a few years ago to find a good deal on the Cobia that was stolen. So I am wondering if anyone knows of any shops around the Boise area that sell older models of bikes. I really like the 09 and 10 X-Caliber, and I would think that, given their age, they would be a bit cheaper than a brand new model. Any suggestions?

I doubt you're going to find many '09 models lingering in local shops. As far as I can tell, shops like to turn over inventory for the newest shiny objects on a regular basis. Call around. You may want to try Bob's or Ken's.

But, if you want something local and relatively new for low cost, your best bet may be to monitor Craigslist. There may be a bike swap sometime this year as well (but not the usual annual swap we've had in the past.)

Sorry to hear about your bike Ian. It is nice to have you back.

As EP said, keep an eye out on Craigslist. You could also hit up Bob's and see what they could do for you.
