Night riders on the righteous road to freedom

As per Earthpiggy's insistance here are some pics from the night rides two weeks ago (first 4 pics of Earthpig and CrashBurn) and last night (last 2 pics: SmileyCook, Earthpig, CrashBurn, flipinidaho and IrishBudda at a tea party on Sidewinder).

Last night we figured we had about 1/2 of the Boise MTBR regulars. The resta you guys should join us.

The first pic is kinda artistic - I call it "Piggy in the Mist"

    "Piggy in the Mist"

Great Ride last night - pooches included - all nine of us flying all over the trails.

Thanks for the ride - I had a smile going all night long.

Yup, I'll throw in my $.02 about the smile I had going last night. Good to put a name with a face, Flip. I always wondered about the "flipinidaho" handle, and now I get it! You are an animal on that SS!!

Speaking of riding more often together, I offered to Lost River Cycles to lead a regular Monday night "hammer" ride in the summer. This would be a "drop ride" for experienced riders of our general skill level and speed (sport to expert) with a mandatory Lucky 13 stop at the end. Holzer said that his only condition to me leading this ride is that I be there, which hopefully should be no problem (we'll see how many of my evenings the City Ethics Commission takes up...). I've been riding every Monday night since about '97 or '98, and I've been organizing a regular group ride for Monday nights the last couple of years since McU's Monday nighter went kaput, so basically, this would be sponsorship for something I do anyway. Sooooo, hopefully some or all of you guys can make a regular 6:15 - 6:30 PM Monday nighter each week, starting sometime probably in early to mid-April.

That, and I plan to do at least one night ride a week this summer - I've never been night riding when it's warm outside, so I'm really looking forward to that!

I can barely remember what it's like riding in shorts and jersey let alone at night. It sounds pretty luxurious really.
