    New Trail in Owyhees

SWIMBA with help from the BLM has built a new trail in the Owyhees it is maybe 1/2 mile to 3/4 of a mile long and is very technical. It is one of those trails you likely won't ride the first time without dabbing.

The trail starts where W250 drops into echo canyon.

Here is a video I shot today. You will need to skip the bad parts since I need to learn to edit better.

    Great looking trial

Wish I could have helped build that one.
I've spent many an hour following that same guy thru the Owyhees and other places. I'll never come close to keeping up with Steve going down Bingo. I miss yawl!
    Am I being kind?

I really appreciate the work that swimba puts forth in building and maintaining trails, but I think that this trail could be a little wider. I rode up the new section today with several very experienced riders and a couple of them pushed more than rode.

This trail was not intended to be easily climbed and was more designed for going downhill. This trail is meant to be a route around a much steeper downhill that was used by horse users. It is best to ride up W200 aka Northwest Passage to the top of W250 and then descend this trail.

Mitch, I am no poop expert, but I think I saw wild horse poop on the trail. So maybe it was just wild horses not domesticated ones. Wild horse poop seems to be blacker.

Did the tracks have horse shoes or were they unshod hooves?

Horses with humans on them are directed to go down another trail.
