McCall area CIMBA Trailwork day 5/19

We are having a trail work/BBQ party on Saturday, May 19th to spruce up the Goose Creek trail. The main focus of this work day will be to cut new trail and reroute a few sections of existing trail. We're looking for around 50 volunteers for this trail day, but as many people as can make it would be great! Remember, the more volunteer hours we show now the better our chances for receiving more grant money for future projects will be.

So, the plan for Saturday is to meet at 9:30 at the Last Chance Campground (dirt road on the right, just down the hill from the Brundage Mt. turn-off on Hwy 55, if heading towards New Meadows). All tools for trailwork will be provided by the Forest Service, but feel free to bring your own favorite shovel if you have one. Of course, you will want to wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty in. You will also want to bring a water bottle and a small snack to eat during the trail work. We will have water jugs on hand and will try to get small food items for everyone, but we are still working on the snacks. We will be giving out stickers and t shirts for all that come out. And, there will be a membership drive too as we are trying to grow the club and have a better voice within the community. Don't forget to hang around for the after work BBQ around 4:00pm. Please RSVP so we have an idea of how much food we will need.
