Looking for shortcut from Williams Creek TH to Redfish Ridge

Any intel on a possible shortcut or bridge over the Salmon that would allow me to go from Williams Creek TH to Redfish Ridge Tr and Grand Mogul back to Sockeye CG. We are getting dropped off to do Fisher/Williams and then meeting our people back at Redfish lodge. Looking for a route that spends minimal time on pavement and avoids 75. Map has a few gravel roads near Decker Flats but nothing that appears to go over river and allow connection to bottom of Redfish Ridge. Any help is greatly appreciated.

There is a road across the river to get to Decker Flats and it is across from 4th of July creek/road/trail. It is a couple miles south of Fisher Creek Road.

Your other option would be to find a shallow area of the river and wade across. The river is quite a bit higher than normal, but still manageable.

BoiseBoy is referring to Hell Roaring road three miles south of Williams TH. That is your only option for crossing the river on a bridge other than the bridge just prior to Redfish Lake turnoff, probably at least 5 miles north. You could ford the river straight across from the TH and still be able to hit the road and Redfish Ridge TH on the other side.

Mudflap is right. You are either going to have to ford the river, which will likely require crossing private land and scouting for decent access, or backtrack south for 4+ miles on hwy 75 from the Williams Cr. TH to the Hell Roaring bridge and onto Decker Flat, adding about 8 miles more to the ride. Or you ride 6.5 miles north on 75 to the Redfish Lake turnoff. My advice? Have your friends pick you up. Verizon has cell service at the Williams Creek TH. Riding 75 sucks. Speed limit is 65 and there is little to no shoulder. When there is enough traffic, cars can't move over to give you much space. But the TH is only a 10 minute drive from that campground. It's a very minor inconvenience for someone to pick you up.
