Looking to get my wheels trued..(titanium spokes).

    guys/gals..

can anyone recommend a good place/person to take my wheels to for a good true'n? They are mavic 3.1's with DT Ti spokes on Hugi hubs..

Back wheel is pretty warped, front wheel could probably use some tightening..

I don't want to just hand these off to anyone.. so who's the best in boise??

    Thanks

Brian Grieger of Brian's Pro Bike.

I have two sets of ti laced wheels. He gets them when they go out.
    ...building wherever they'll let me...

My co-worker recommended Brian too. He injured his knee and said all he can really do right now is wheels. He seemed quite knowledgeable over the phone so my wheels are going to him to build next week.
Oh sh!+ just force upgraded to cat1. Now what?
Best thing about an ultra marathon? I just get to ride my bike for X hours!

Never had Brian do any work for me, but about 10 years ago or so I took a bike maintenance class from him through Community Ed (of course I never retained anything I learned ). The guy's knowledge of everything bike was astonishing. I've been referring people to him when it comes to wheelbuilding over the past couple of years cuz of all the good things that have been said about him both on this board and around the valley.

Brian's probably built 10 wheels over the years for me. In fact, the pair on my SS he built about 5 or 6 years ago, on Mavic 517 rims--they are still true today without any problems and no maintenance! He also builds wheels for lots of shops, pro-roadies, etc. You're in good hands

I've been going to Brian for years now as well. Without a doubt, my best wheels were built by him. If nothing else...he's been working on bikes since before mountain biking went mainstream and he's got some incredible stories.

I concur, Brian is really-really good. Another option, since you're not getting the wheel rebuilt, and if you have time on your hands, and if the Ti spoked wheels are not on your main ride, is to try to true them yourself. You will need some equipment (spoke wrench, truing stand and dishing tool) but these are lifetime investments that will pay itself off... Plus, there is a zen about working on your own wheels and getting them true to .005" that is very satifsying in a hard to explain way..
