    Kalispell, MT

Well, I will be in Kalispell in about a week for a couple days of skiing at Big Mountain. Anyone have any activities that I should do in the area? I was thinking of maybe snow shoeing and checking out Glacier.

How much is open at Big Mtn right now?

We're hurtin' down south. Big Sky just opened last weekend and is pretty thin. Bridger isn't going to open on time (still grass showing on the groomers) and the weather is supposed to be in the 40s for the next week.

I'd recommend xc skiing over snowshoeing. There is also an old growth cedar forest somewhere near Libby. I've been wanting to check that out for a while but haven't made the drive yet.

I guess big mtn has about 30 inches of base so far. Hopefully it snows some.

About 50% of the runs were open at Big Mountain and the back side and hellroaring was the best runs. I had a blast in Montana. Great place.
