    Idaho Trail - Help needed

All, I have been working on an alternate to the ICT for mountain bikers and have completed about 557 miles so far. I am now getting into Northern Idaho which I don't know as well and I am hoping to get some assistance on the route and with pictures.

I have created a webpage that shows my progress and what segments I need help with. All of the data is public and on mtbproject.

I can't help with the N. ID sections, but would like to get more details and logistical info on your Segment 4- the Willow Creek section from S.F. Boise to Smiley Creek lodge. We're looking at doing it this summer. I'm wondering how doable that ~41 mile section for a 5-6 person group in one day. Any info and/or advice you can provide is appreciated.

What is your fitness level? What other big rides have you done?

That is a fascinating project, smily. I suddenly feel as if I haven't ridden/explored enough.

Fitness level is high. Others in the group would be similar or moderately below. All very experienced. I've/We've done similar backcountry routes. I think you and I were on the White Clouds loop together many years ago...

pdlhrd - You will have no problem making it to Smiley Creek lodge. There is going to basically two hike a bike sections near the two passes. All of the rest is rideable by strong riders. Reserve your spot early at the lodge it books fast. Also I recommend returning on Big Smokey.
