    I rode up..

8th St. last night with the dog just to get some exercise, the road was pretty muddy in spots so the trails must be a slop fest, unless this rain lets up soon we won't be riding the trails for a while

    Pessimism?

What rain? Did we get even an inch?

It's good to see the board might be coming back to life again - that whole Devil Gandhi thing was just plain ugly.

I'll be on the road tonight zoomin on my steely LeMond - Hope to see everybody on their bikes. Cause without bikes we would all be just plain MAD.

Someone please tell me Rocky Canyon Road is somewhat decent! I was planning on doing a "hike" on the Greenbelt with a loaded down backpack, but I much rather be on dirt.

    Thanks

I've been here over a year and a half now so I'm an expert. RIGHT! I walk, ride and run on that road training for the robie creek run. In the winter it get's slick and icy at times but for the past two years it's been a piece of cake to run or walk to the top. If you call getting to the top a piece of cake. This year it was open to car traffic all winter. It will be fine for hiking this weekend even if it rains.
I rode from Columbia Village to Boneville point this evening and it was dry. That would be some good dirt hiking if you don't want to deal with the hill.

I ended up hiking Rocky Canyon earlier tonight. I guess the plus to having the rain is that it packs down the dirt so it's not it's usual dusty self.

Debated on hiking up Shane's too. The start of it looked in fine shape. But in the end I decided not to and proceeded to hike further up Rocky Canyon. A very pleasant evening!
