    Hope Hike a Bike

Went for a ride this week that was more hike than bike due to down trees. Was 10 miles of singletrack and 7 miles of road. Pretty smoky from the fires around. Do not attempt this ride without a chainsaw and several gallons of gas, unless you want a good hike a bike due to the hundreds of trees down across the trail. Photo's are, dredge, 4 on the floor, all aboard, waiting for action, trail, bear poop, doe's a bear poop in the woods, lookout, trail in burned area. Happy pushing.

Had a similar experience about 11 years ago on Cottonwood trail outside Idaho City. Our mistake was parking at the top of the ride, not the bottom. We were bonked after the 8 mile hike-a-bike and then had to do about a 10 mile climb in the heat, during which I ran out of water and food. Most meh-serable mountain biking experience of my life. My condolences on your ride. But nice poop picture. Hoping visipooper doesn't go all ultramoderator and remove it.
