    Flat prevention

In Boise how many are using tubeless or stans or slime to prevent flats or do you just run regular tubes and tires?

slime tubes all the way for me. the foothills aren't so bad for thorns, etc., but the neighborhoods sure are.

Count me as one using tubeless with new Mavic valve stems with the removable cores and Slime for tubeless. My race wheels are not tubeless.

I use UST wheels/tires with a scoop of Stan's. Thousands of miles, zero flats.

I have wooden wheels on all my bikes so it's pretty much a non-issue.
Nobody cares what kind of bike you ride.

    USE STANS IN A TUBE!!!

It's amazing stuff. I have not flatted in 2 years with the exception of 1 pinch flat. I've had screws sticking out of my tire from riding through a construction site and it sealed!

Trust me. Get stans and put it in a tube and flats will become a forgotten problem.

I have been running Stan's Notube in Spec. Fastrack tires, on regular DT rims for 4 years with only one flat. That was a big tear in the sidewall.

Steve showed me some Penziol stop leak for tires (Orange). I'm going to try that, it's cheaper then Stan's.
    Am I being kind?
