    Fisher-Williams Loop vid

lv2ride, justin, cracka, and I headed up to Stanley this morning to ride the famous one. With the exception of lv2ride, none of us had tasted this one yet. I crafted a barmount for my Fuji finepix out of some stuff in the garage heap. The video is a bit shaky but you get the point anyway. Great ride, great crew, looking forward to doing this one again, with a better camera system...

    We tried to do FC

on our way home from Redfish but ran out of time. Next time y'all are up there, try the Redfish Lake trail. It's mind blowingly beautiful and pretty technical (rocks and roots) relative to SV trails...

Smack. The SV-SB trails sure are getting a good strokin' this year. It'll be a shame when the forests burn. Again. It's just a matter of time. Clank.
Nobody cares what kind of bike you ride.

Beautiful pics, all of you, and cool video. Last time I rode it was in '05, and we finished up just in time for the FS doods to start evacuating everybody due to the fires. So I've never seen it in it's post-apocalyptic skeletal condition... different.

Nice B4X! Glad you got to rock this trail. Not much like it around W. Texas huh?
    So, what WAS your motivation?

There's some good stuff there, but nothing as epic of course.

Swede's yanking chains. Some local gal with some really ripped legs blew by me on her sub-30 lb Scott hardtail, no hydration pack. Just breezed right by me on the steep climb while I was trying to keep the Coiler tamed to stay on the trail.

Either way - Good Stuff! We will be up from Arizona in late August and plan on a Boundary Creek/Williams Creek loop, and we are also planning on the Little Basin Loop as well.

    Little Basin........

Rode Little Basin on same morning. It was actually nice and cool -- mostly in shade next to a creek--lots of creek crossings. Very pleasant ride. Except for an early very steep hill not much climbing.
