    Farragut, fact or fiction?

    got an email this am:

says they have bulldozed most of the north trails to make them rideable by
horse carts. When he asked people why, he was told because they (the horse
    cart people) asked us to.
    verify? rumor?

    thanks

Get a hold of Leo Hennessy at Parks & Rec. He should be able to help you with that issue.

    Partial fact partial fiction,

Farragut has used a dozer on SOME northside trails, Most are in the area that was involved in the shooting range development, which grew, and ate some pretty nice Singletrack, The park cut new trails ( doubletrack with a dozer) in that area, which I am positive will revert to singletrack over time as most of the trails on the northside were originally doubletrack that grew in. yea I miss a couple sections that went away for sure, but again, there is plenty in the northside maze that did not change at all.

I have been riding the north and the south side in getting ready for CDM next weekend, I will be avoiding as much of the new dozer cuts as possible in all routing, there is plenty of singletrack there, on the north side, and we will be hitting the southernside extensivly as well.

The doubletrack that was cut is in fact for horse carts and Llama carts, however it is in my opinion a small segment of the north side trails. The park just put up the signs, which were not there before. The park has plenty of singletrack, and is very pro multiuse.
