I can not believe that there is a town called Athol. Is it pronounced like I think it is?
Each bicycle owned exponentially increases the probability that none is working correctly.

    Why Yes there really is

I usually give directions by telling folks, to lay your map flat on the ground, lean way over to read the map, and while your head is between your knees.. look up... and there it is!

AtHole - make the t silent

Supposedly this is the origin of Athol

    http://www.blairatholl.org.uk/

How about if it was your last name.

Should make for a fun MTB event t-shirt, something like "I rode Athol"

Maybe the MTBR's can come up with a good Athol slogan.

    Capt!

Sounds like a fun time! If we make it up there I know for certain there is some more good riding that we didn't even get to the day we saw you.

Farragut sounds like a great place for something like that. Plenty of space near the totems for the bike booths. An excellent airport for all those that are into R.C. airplanes and plenty of other fun...

Just past Athol, some of the SWEETEST Singletrack around!
btw, I do have shirts in process as part of the package

I typically call riding at Farragut a round of GOF It really is a fun spot, a little bit of everything the poker run will be a sweet trail that is mostly rollers, anybody can enjoy, the Bernard Climb will put anyone in anarobic debt before a sweet 9 mile singletrack downhill , The ampitheater will be great, average temps are 60 day 45 night.... and we have a full moon 2 days before, so some great night ride possibilities. The whole idea is FUN.

There are 2 Disc Golf courses as well, It will be a bit early for Swiming, but that is always an option when you ride the shoreline trail. I may have a sign up for a epic run as well as an option and do 3 sisters and cocollala loop and back ,, Hopefully a bit of fun for everyone You guys should come back up for it if you can swing it I should have a lot more trail mapping done for those who get lost in the maze

    IT'S SHRINKAGE!!! I WAS SWIMMING!

As a side note Formica, I am working on a womens skills clinic leader for the event as well, Thinking maybe a morning Skill session with John Stamsted, and maybe a mini Skurtzndirt session for the ladies, with the poker fun run after the skills sessions, possible to attract some new folks to the sport. So far I have 2 local shops setting up demo booths and I am working on more.. Maybe hold the Bernard Challange on Sunday along with a trials / skilz competition.....

For the Epic riders doing a figure 8 with the Bernard Peak challenge and the HellaBill should give you just under 50 miles

The Image lays out the basic trail routes from the trusty GPS logs.

The group camp is locked, and just finailizing the planning before putting the rest of the details out there.

With as cold as it is here,,,, it is kinda nice to think Spring!!!

Of Course!!!!!! I am working with the Skurtz N Dirt Ladies to see if they would like to cover a beginners / intermediate Womens specific workshop on during the event, and want to stress this whole weekend plan is based purely on fun for all. If SnD does work out, that will be the only gender specific activity. There will be the standard parking for the state park, of 4.00 a day per car. that is paid park direct upon entering, ( if you have an Idaho annual pass you do not have to pay )

I can tell you also I plan on giving away a Haro Mary 29'r SS, as well as a Fat Tire Beer Cruiser as grand prizes ( more prizes yet to come)
