    CDA Idaho Trails

We are coming back to mountain biking and have just moved to the CDA Idaho area. We are looking for some Intermediate trails that a couple of out of shape ex mountain bikers can handle.

    Ay ideas?

Welcome to the area. I am not in CDA, but nearby in Spokane. Lots of great riding within 30 miles of you. Canfield is kind of a strenuous climb, but has a few good intermediate trails. North of CDA there is some good riding at Farragut State Park. I have heard there is a new loop in Post Falls at Q'emiln Park, although I have never ridden it. Some good rock climbing there though.

In Liberty Lake area there are a few trails near the lake and also a trail system at Saltese Flats that is a good loop.

The Spokane area has many great intermediate rides. Beacon/Sekani area is filled with trails for all abilities. Riverside State Park also has many trails to explore and very little of it is very technical. The trail on the side of the South Hill below High Drive is also a very good trail.

Many other places nearby, but these are all probably what you would want to start with and most everything is on Trailforks if you have the app or of course check out Evergreeneast.org and I believe they have maps of some of the areas.

    Have fun exploring!

Trail 257 near Beauty Bay is a good intermediate trail. We usually ride the road up and take the trail down, but people ride the trail up (watch out for people coming down). Further north towards Sandpoint are Mineral Point, Gold Hill, Syringa, and Schweitzer. There is also Silver Mountain, but that is primarily shuttled via the gondola. In Spokane, besides the ones already mentioned, there is Mt Spokane and Iller. Moscow Mountain south of CdA has a ton of stuff.

If you are getting back into shape, I'd suggest Farragut state park, Saltese, beacon, Riverside Park. A bit less climbing.
Once you get your legs back, 257, Bernard, Canfield.
