    Bruneau Canyon

    As with so many rides in southern Idaho... I was just riding along in the desert.

    When suddenly I came upon an sign along the road.

    After a moment of thought, I decided that possibly the side-road might be more interested in the 16 miles of desert riding that I'd just come through. As a rode to the south, the earth seemed to start to open up.

    I went closer, trying to see if maybe, the road when to the far side of the valley. If it did, it looked like the climb on the ar side was going to be too steep to ride.

    The ride from the town of Bruneau to the overlook is about 19-20 miles each way, of which 12.5 miles is paved. There are several easy to ride dirt roads on top that go to different vantage points on the canyon wall. The views were pretty incredible.

    Each bicycle owned exponentially increases the probability that none is working correctly.
