Bogus Basin Laps or Shuttle Ride down into town

Flying into town on Thursday am and wanting to try some of your ID dirt out that day. Original plan was to catch a ride up to Bogus Basin with the bike and ride down back to town. But having challenges finding a ride for a single rider without it costing a small fortune. Other alternative is I will have a rental car so I can drive up to the lifts and buy a lift pass and screw around up there for a while.

Should I keep searching for a ride option (uber xl, etc) for a shuttle ride down from the top? Or just bail on that and tool around up at the park?

how much climbing are you willing to do?

I'd go up on your car and ride there, you don't really need lift unless you don't want to climb. can do around the mountain (atm), eastside, can also start atm loop mahalo and back to finish atm

all pretty good riding and temperature should be great

Just hitchhike up. Part at elementary school at bottom of Bogus Basin Rd. Stick out your thumb and you will get a ride in no time. Ride from top back to town

As long as its not too hot, I've got a few thousand feet of lift in my legs...

Normally I would suggest a shuttle from one of the local companies and ride back into town, but it is gonna be 106 that day. I would stick to the trails at Bogus, as they will be less hot than in town. You might do Around the Mountain, then decide if you wanna check out more trails from the lift.

After you get off the chair at Bogus, you ride down a fire road and back up to get to the trails. Just a heads up so you're not as annoyed with that as I was.

I ended up parking at the bottom of dry creek and then climbed up shingle and then back down dry creek all the whilst baking under the midday sun and heat. Then went up to Bogus for a lap. Tried hitchhiking to no avail. Nobody was riding midday it seemed.
