The Southwest Idaho Mountain Biking Association (SWIMBA) and the City of Boise are glad to present the Spring Schedule of Classes for adults and kids. The SWIMBA Bicycle School is about to embark on the 10th year of classes starting this April-May.

Spring 2011 Mountain Biking Camps

Womens Mountain Biking

Cycle for fitness, fun, and ride with other women who enjoy cycling. This class will focus on creating a comfortable environment for women to fine-tune their basic mountain biking skills. Participants will discover the beauty of the Boise Foothills while they work on technical riding, basic bike maintenance and care, fitness and nutrition, training techniques, trail riding and map use. This class will help participants build confidence in their descending skills, uphill climbing skills, balance and speed.

Thursdays, May 19-June 2, 5:30p.m.-7:30p.m.

During this 3-week Saturday class come explore the single track of the Boise Foothills. Learn skills such as proper bike maintenance, equipment responsibility, technical skills, safety, sharing, and respect. Topics are first aid, safety, and communication, city riding, trial etiquette, technical riding skills, bike maintenance and care, trails course, fitness, and nutrition. Enjoy the outdoors with other young people in a fun and positive way!

Saturdays, May 7-May 21, 1p.m.-4p.m.

Learn new trails, technical skills, safety, bike maintenance, and respect for our public trails. Enjoy the outdoors and learn more about your child and yourself.

This 3 day Camp is designed to provide young riders education and practical experience in order to better understand laws and rules for riding on the road. Both instructional discussion and actual riding provide the proper techniques to be safe, visible and responsible when riding on the road. Monday-Wednesday March 28-March 30, 1p.m.-3p.m.
