For anyone heading to Stanley this weekend

Specifically the Stanley lake area take a look at this:

Stanley lake campground being evacuated today....better make a change of plans.

Update: Apparently this is a reignition of a fire that was supposed to have been put out earlier this month. OOOPS!

    different (new) fire?

the big one was north/east of stanley, and it was called the Potato fire.

they're calling this on the Trailhead Fire Type II (whatever that means). it's "only" at 3,000 acres right now.

Ahh that explains it. When I was in Stanley this past weekend, as I was driving back into the Stanley Lake Campground road, I noticed a massive amount of smoke coming in from the same general area as the original Trailhead fire outside of Grandjean. There were at least two incident bases set up off of 21.

I came home mid-Sunday afternoon and they were doing major road construction on 21 heading back into Boise. Massive delays.

Last Saturday I rode Lil' Basin and on Sunday I rode Fisher-Williams.
