    Ripmo V2 availability

does anyone received a RipV2 recently?

Most online-shop went "out-of-stock" on RipV2 whilst other IBIS bikes are available ... strange ... tremendous backlog ... ?

I ordered a V2 frame from Bikeco the last week of April. It was not supposed to come in until late August. It got moved up to mid June a few days ago. I'm sure it will depend on size/color, but hopefully its a sign they won't take as long as originally anticipated.
The only trace I leave behind is tire marks.

One of the Ibis factory riders, Robin, posted a video of his with the new 38 2 weeks ago.

I got my frame beginning of April. Ordered in February the day it came out. Parts are taking a while though. Waiting for nice things is exciting!

So are all V2’s from here on out going to be shipped with 2021 forks?

I ordered in March. Was told July. I've since been told September when I switched frame sizes.

I ordered XTR, and that's discontinued.

Ok just waiting... I want a 38 on it.

Are you saying the V2 may come with a 38 option?

    Hy all,

never heard that a Ripmo V2 reached an end customer in Germany - maybe western europe....??

Dealer wasn't supposed to come until July - orderdate beginning March
--> first tranche of V2's to come to Germany.

Very frustrating to wait and nothing spill over the Atlantic ....

I haven't ordered yet but I'm heavily considering it.

I'm based in the UK. I emailed the local dealer last week to ask about delivery times and he said they were expecting a delivery of Ripmos in March but they hadn't shown up. The latest info he has is that delivery will be in June but he wouldn't say that was certain.

I have a Ripley V4 and 2020 Specialized Enduro. I really like the Ripmo, it falls in-between. I bought this before the whole COVID thing happened, and at this point I wanted to try it. This is a great bike all around bike or beefier second bike. I love this Ripmo V2 with the Shout - it is magically. In the end, too much overlap. The Ripley V4 is a bit more pedal friendly, and the Enduro is just longer and beefier. Hence the decision, it is no slight against the Ripmo V2 just can't own 3 top of the line bikes.

When do you think the bikes will start coming equipped with the new 2021 Fox 36?

I ordered a frame through my local shop back end of March. I spoke to the shop owner a week ago, he told me the most recent update from Ibis is telling him late June, early July now. It was previously expected early June. On the plus side, they did tell him that it will have the new 2021 Fox stuff (shock & fork).

Edit: I ordered the X2 version of the frame, and he ordered the new 36 through them to get the color matched decals, rather than through Fox.

I ordered a frame in mid February when the bike came out (LG BZB). I had two other friends who ordered at the same time (LG BZB and a MD SDG). Both of my friends frame/bike arrive in April. I was told to expect mine now between mid June and mid July. No explanation why my buddies bikes arrived and why mine did not. I do wonder if your LBS's size and relationship with Ibis is effecting delivery. All in all, with what is going on in the world, I will wait and it could be worse.

    Ripmo V2 availability

This got posted the other day.

Probably the only V2 up for sale in the country right now.

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/143627838590

On a side not, a bike shop near me had a v1 in stock.

The update I got last week is the next batch of frames will not be in to Ibis in CA until early to mid July. Ibis said their staff is low in the warehouse and it will take a while to get those frames out to dealers. At this point who really knows.

Looking for a large with an X2, if anybody knows who’s got one. Not interested in paying full retail plus tax to buy one off of eBay that doesn’t come with a warranty.

That’s not true. If the seller never registered the frame serial number, then there is no difference.

I bought a lightly used V1 on eBay, and registered the warranty to myself.

I think I just uploaded the PayPal receipt. I just typed in the serial number and my info into the site and they sent me a confirmation email.

It works too, I had to show them the email to send me the updated rock guard for free recently.

The next batch of Ripmo's got into Ibis last week. No idea how many that is, but I was able to confirm my own frame is in that batch. I ordered mine the day after the V2 was released.

congrats on getting your bike soon!

I wonder how deep into the backorders they'll be able to fill with this batch. Seems like very little word and who knows if we'll get it in 3 weeks or 6 months. (ordered in spring).

I ordered late April. Got a call Thurs that the shop has the bike and will be shipping it out on Monday to me. It would be here already, but Fox sent a 2020 DPX2 not a 2021, so they waited for replacement before shipping.

    Nice!

My fingers are crossed. Early May order here, but my shop hasn't heard anything from Ibis.

Dang! I ordered mine March 3rd and still waiting. Although I delayed it for the FY21 Fox stuff.

yup, for new orders this is true. You may be able to find a large dealer that ordered a bunch of them early on without commitment from customers, but may be rare.

Is Ibis going to come up with new color or version next year? If that's the case, I might as well wait for next year.

I have no idea, but all bikes eventually get new colors. Considering this *is* the new color that is just starting to ship for people that ordered early on, it may be a while.

Ibis typically does not update colors unless there is a geometry change.

true! I haven't had an ibis since the mojo (1) which had a couple generations of colors. Maybe the last time? I like that they aren't afraid to tweak geo more frequently than others.
