    OG Ripley V1 No boost

So, "back in the day" these were designed around a 51mm OS fork("offset" to keep the nominclature straight...). What are the pros/cons on running a 44 os fork? Been thinking on running a -1/-1.5* angle headset on mine with the RS SID 120 I have on it now for awhile. HT angle is 70* I believe. Looking to move that over onto a hardtail build and get one of the new SID Ultimate's with the 35 mil stanchions. So, for all you geo wizards, what will the setup be like? OG(original geo) with angleset and the 44 fork?

    Thanks in advance.

It would change the trail number, which in turn will typically slow down steering input making it climb better.

I donít know what the current trail number is, so Iím not sure which way it will go. But if you are shortening offset, and slaking the bike, itís a good move.

This video might help if you know your current numbers.

I think you would basically be turning an old geo Ripley into a new one on the front end though.

    Thanks for beta. That's what I was thinking/hoping it would do..

    Qwik edit:
I've seen that vid just wasn't sure how it relates to new geo setup for one offset vs old for another. I'll rewatch it tonight.

I'm looking at the same ting to make it a XC/Endurance bike. I was just thinking of getting the 51 offset. Pretty sure they make it.

I was looking at a 51 but from the supplier I checked with only came in a 44(? could be wrong...)He suggested getting a 44 for in future on a more current geo frame.
