    Mojo hd3 tire choice.

I have an HD3 with Stan Flow rims. The internal diameter is 25.5. Presently I am running Maxxis Minnion DHF 2.3's which I am very happy with. But I am curious about the Minnion DHF 2.5 tires. Will they work on the Flow rims? How will they compare to the 2.3's on the same ribs? I assume I can run a lower tire pressure. Does anyone have personal experience with this combination?

I used to run Nobby Nic 2.5 on Stan Crest at 24 psi (I am 155 pounds). They worked perfectly fine at 21 mm inner ...

Running 2.5 DHF in front on my HD. It's a great tire for me, even if it's pushing the limits on my 19mm rim. It should do great on your wider Flows...

I have the Minion DHF 2.5" on my HD3 with Stan's Bravo wheels, which are basically the same as the Flows (1mm different, I think). I also have Minion DHF 2.5" on my Ripley LS with 29" Flow rims... they're both awesome. I personally wouldn't ever use the 2.3" on the front now that the 2.5" option is available.

I tried the Maxxis Minion DHF 27.5 X 2.5 WT on my Ibis 741 rims.
Crazy amounts of grip, very stable and supportive but wayyyy to slow and draggy.

Reason being I bought the "MAX GRIP" version which can be overkill if you aren't doing predominantly extreme downhill riding.

When I should have baught the "MAXX TERRA" version

I now have the Maxxis Minion DHR2 27.5 X 2.4 Maxx Terra Wide Trail on the front and find it to perform really well in a mix of conditions although it can be a little drifty on super dry hard pack corners.

Sorry mate, what I meant was that it feels skittish. As if its about to let go and wash out any minute.
But that's only on dry hard pack.
Every where else the 2.4 DHR2 feels great on the front.
It could possibly be my suspension set up.
I like to fun it firm with slightly faster rebound
