Lower link Protection on V1 Ripmo?

I just got a V1 Ripmo and noticed that rocks/dirt can get in the space near the lower link over the BB and probably do some damage. I understand Ibis sells something for this but am wondering if you guys "macgyvered" anything? I was thinking of sticking a piece of tube in that space.

    Thanks peeps, stay safe!

I might suggest that you send an email to Ibis, on one of the threads someone mentioned that they did get a response from them. They sent me the flap protector in the past for free, you might get lucky and someone at Ibis is sick of being housebound and went to the office to get some work done. Good Luck
