    Head Set Creek

I know it's been discussed before, and yes my cables are clean and lubed.
I'm 96% sure it is the Headset.

Question, I went from 6 n-m torque on the bearings (IS-1) to 7 n-m and it seamed to help.

Does anyone know the safe torque on the hs

That's a neat idea, i'll have to try it. Only one wrap not 2?

Do you use a torque wrench or just feel, for hs bearing tightnenss?

if i remember it was only like 1 - 1 1/2 wrap, and i just snug it up by feel and then tighten up the stem clamp.

I've got definite movement and noise, not a creek, more of a knocking even with lots if bolt tension. I'll try the tape too, thanks!
