    DV9 Sizing

Hi, looking into ordering a DV9. I'm on the fence about sizing and my LBS does not have anything similar geo to compare too. They have Ripley's but that doesn't seem like it's a good model to compare with. I'm in no way a very capable or confident rider if that helps in the decision process. Hoping others in my similar shape/size with the bike could suggest? Local shop sells Ibis and Santa Cruz models. They said they have medium and large Ripley's to try on for size.

I just sold my 2012 medium stumpjumper, seemed like a good fit.
I just rode around a friends large 2016 scott scale large and it seems too big (reach is too far it felt).

    5'9 1/4"
    160 pounds
    32" inseam
    23" arm length
    17" lower leg length
    10" shoulder width
    10.5" foot length
    22" sternal notch height

    TY!

    176cm - 5'9?
I have tested M, bought L. M was way too small.
Before DV9 I was riding Knolly Warden L, sold. I'm wainting for Ripmo v2 (L, preorder) with temporary RipmoAF (also L).
RimpoAF L feels way longer than DV9 L.

I'm 5'11" with 33-34" inseam on an XL and am very happy with the sizing and fit running both 100mm and 130mm forks. If you can fit the dropper length you want, I'd recommend going with the L. Ibis has a chart for this on the DV9 page. Was very helpful for me!

DV9 is designed with less reach than a Chameleon. I'd size up.
418 Medium reach will not work, imo. 435 Large is also tight.
    Chameleon is 437 M 457 L. Better chainstay length.
When you compare it to a 2016 Stumpy you have to take note of the stem length.
Shorter stems may not have been on that years bike. 80 instead of 40-50.

I am 510 with similar dimensions on a large. Ive ridden with a 70 mm stem, a 60, and a 50. Frankly they all work but the 50 and 60 are preferred.
