    Creaky WTB Silverado saddle?

Anyone had a creaky WTB Silverado?...Just got my bike and I believe the creaking is from the saddle itself..where rails mount into the saddle.

On other bikes I've put a few drops of lube into those junctions and it has stopped the creaking. I originally was planning to use my old Ergon but I actually find this saddle pretty good...not quite as comfy as the Ergon, but the shape seems slightly narrower and a better fit for me.

Mine started creaking a little, it was caused by the little bolts that hold the top and bottom together being loose.

Thanks, I'll give that a try. Can you do it with the saddle on the bike or do I need to remove?

    Ditto!

Mine did the same thing. I tightened the bolts and all is good!

Mine creaked when new. Remove, clean the bolts and rails, greased and never creaked again.

You can leave it on, they are around the perimeter.

I had the this issue and it was caused by the saddle being just barely too far back, past the marked point. This may have happened from riding and the bolts loosening as above? I tapped it forward and tightened it back up and the noise was gone.

Thanks for all the thoughts on this. I lubed the rail mounting points in the saddle and tightened the 5 screws (2.5mm allen). The screws were rather loose but I was careful not to strip them either. The saddle is mounted in the middle of the range, so that's not a cause. After a test ride on the street it seems to be creak free, but a trail ride will tell.

So first trail ride was a partial success, still had some creaking. The original lube I used in the saddle rail mounting points was dry lithium spray grease. Yesterday I tried silicone spray again into the saddle rail pockets and that seems to have done the trick... creak free on today's trail ride. Thanks for all the tips.

I had a creaky Silverado. The shell flexed enough that it was rubbing the upper clamp of my KS Lev post. I fixed it by getting a Volt.

Triflow worked for mine. Drove me a little crazy when I first got my Ripmo. Easily resolved tho
