    140mm 51mm offset fork on Ribley v4?

I am about to build a new Ripley v4 frame with some parts from a different mtb. Can I use my existing 140mm 51mm offset (FOX 34) fork on a new Ribley v4 to avail? 130mm fork with 44mm offset is recommended of course.

Yes, of course you can. The stock 44mm offset is to make it a bit more stable in the stock setup, but with a bit more travel and half a degree slacker, the 51mm should be fine. It's just gonna make the wheelbase a bit longer than ideal depending on your terrain. And climbing could be a tad more interesting.

I'm running a Fox 34 140 51. Just fine for me but haven't ridden a 44 offset. Offhand, I'd say their is bit more flop on the slow ups when 10-14 degree. Coming off last years SJ29, before was a 5010v2 & love this bike. Check out the Worldwide Cyclery video on it.

I am running a Fox 36 51mm offset on my Ripley V4. Previously had a Fox 34 44mm offset. No difference in climbing or handling. Don't waste your money on a 44mm offset. Its just marketing.
