Caution; Merge; Workers Ahead! URGENT!!! Fork Question, Haro Escape

I have a 2007 Haro Escape Sport with the Marzocchi MZ Race fork 120mm. I am wondering if I could put a 2005 Marzocchi Dirt Jumper 3 100m with a 7 1/4 inch steerer tube and a 20mm Axel. Also, would it be worth the upgrade for someone riding xc/some jumps? Would everything bolt up, and if not what would need to change? Thanks

Measure the steerer first- 7 1/4 is pretty short. Also, you would need a new front hub. Worth it? If you are into DJ, a through axle is a good idea, however, make sure the fork hasnt been beaten because any fork with several seasons of DJ in it is likely coming to the end of its service life.

Agreed Dan. Unless the fork is new old stock or the dude is giving it to you, I'd be wary of a used DJ fork. They just get beat to hell.

And yes, 7 1/4 does seem short. Whether or not it fits will depend not just on the HT length of your bike, but what stem, HS, and spacers you run with it.
