Can somebody help identify model/year?

Hi Folks,

I recently bought a GT Avalanche to build up a new project.
The seller told me it should be a GT Avalanche '91.

Searching the forum and databases makes me believe it must either be a different year or not even a Avalanche.

What I know so far:
- 7005 aluminium
- 27,00mm seatpost
- Serial Number SK5K01602 (I am not able to decode this one, anyone?)
- was painted red/yellow before

Attached find some pictures, somebody got an idea which model/year it actually is?

somewhere between 1993 (due to rear brake noodle, also first year aluminium) and 1997 (due to lack of integrated seat clamp),I never know how to decode the non zaskar serial numbers, but I'd guess, assuming avalanche 95? But looking at the pics, it used to be red, or was red at some point... assuming red was the original colour...then it may well be something else like arrowhead, backwoods, agressor etc but whatever it is, it sure isn't a 91 avalanche

Looking a bit arround I found the following:
Gt Backwoods Silver Polished Vintage 1996-7 Mountain Bike Frame Large 7005 | What's it worth
The frame looks identical. Even the frame number starts with the same code SK5K0...

Seems to be a backwood? What do you think?

there is a fair chance (as in probably) that all the aluminium frames are the same - excluding zaskars and the odd frame over the years that are different (ie the avalanche that are 6061 ocasionally). Soame frame different build kits, colouring and decals...
