    Manhattan, Kansas Trails

Visiting Manhattan in two weeks for a reunion and I'm thinking about bringing my bike with me to ride the trails I haven't seen in more than twenty years. Just curious if the bowls at Tuttle Creek are still MTB accessible or if they are now purely for motorized off-road vehicles? Also, I used to ride the trails at Carnahan as well as the small set behind the Zoo. Do these trails still exist? Are the relatively newer trails on the east side of town near the river worth the time? Thanks!

River trails are good, they expanded the stuff behind the zoo and closed some old fall line stuff there. Not as many miles as the river trail, but still good. Not sure about Carnahan creek, but last time I rode it, nothing but thorns. Could always go up to fancy creek state park, or over to Topeka or Lawrence. 100+ miles in Kansas city, but that's a drive.

The river trails are in good shape ride them a few times a week.
And fancy Creek is the best trail system if you have time to drive there. It has one longer loop and a newer short loop.
Carnahan is in pretty rough shape to ride and not worth the time anymore. The new zoo trails are fun but short. Kansas City has gotten really good the past few years and are worth a stop if traveling though.

I haven't been there in years but when I last went, Tuttle Creek bowls are for dirt bikes and atvs.
