Mounting a remote for a dropper post

Has anyone figured out a good way to mount a 22.2mm dropper lever on a 23.8 dropper bar? I have pnw 27.2 i want to use without having to buy a separate lever. I really like the idea of the wolftooth Remount but the clamp is 22.2.

The o py way I have personally seen a dropper on a gravel bike was 1x drivetrain and a front shifter with the ratchet removed used as a lever for the dropper.

Two stems for two handlebars. One drop, one flat bar. Trim the flat bar to desired width, mount dropper lever.

The new Shimano stuff will do it in the place of the left shifter.
I have no idea when thatíll actually be available.

The old Shimano brifters are not difficult to modify (remove inner lever and pawl).
