29er Gravel Bikes With 2-inch Width Tire Clearance

    Greetings!

I am looking to purchase a 29er gravel bike with clearance for 2" wide tires. What are some recommended models?

29er Gravel Bikes With 2-inch Width Tire Clearance

Penhale Gypsy. I love mine, and it clears 29x2.25 WTB Nine Lines on 28mm internal rims. Iíve ridden it year round in Utah on everything from dry dusty desert trails to snow and rain on gravel & paved roads. Also clears 45c with fenders. The frame set is on sale right now.

Soma Wolverine maxes at 2.0, Bombtrack Beyond 1 at 2.1, Otso Waheela at 2.1 are a few examples. There is more in this thread. https://bikepacking.com/index/drop-b...in-bikes-29er/

Very interesting! Looks like a U.S. based operation (currently in Oregon) selling frames made from Japanese steel. Thanks!

Otso Warakin. Iíve had mine for 3 years and it only gets better. Stainless steel creates a ver forgiving ride.

Sonder Camino AL is very cost effective. Love mine for a very balanced HT, CS, to make it road and trail worthy. Also in Ti depending on your taste and wallet.

My 2018 Norco Search XR (steel) came with 700c x40. I now ride it with 650b x 2.1.

Oooops. That's not what you're looking for though. Sorry. Need. More. Coffee.

I can't recommend a specific frame but here's a big 'ol list to show you some of the possibilities: https://bikepacking.com/index/drop-b...in-bikes-29er/.

I've had my eye on the new Salsa Cutthroat however I haven't found one to try out yet.

Frameset only. Alu with steel fork.

Won't be in until Nov. Pretty good price.

Pretty short reach with good stack.
