    Polar H7, FlowLink, or other?

I currently have a Polar FT7 watch with the standard chest strap. No complaints. It works great and does everything it should.

I generally use the HR monitor to keep an eye on ride effort, but I am interested in being able to view hr data synched up with gps ride map. IE be able to see what my hr was during a climb etc. I use Strava on an iPhone 5s to track my rides.

I'm considering buying the Polar H7 heart sensor as it is compatible with my FT7 watch and would also be compatible with the iPhone/Strava and provide the HR data that I'm interested in. These run about $50-60.

Alternatively I could buy the Polar FlowLink that allows me to download data from the watch. I'm guessing there's software that would enable me to match up the HR data with my Strava ride data and get the combined data that I want, but might be more work. I could pick up one these for about $30-40.

I have only focused on the Polar devices because I already have the watch. I'm not opposed to other gear (Wahoo?), but price is a consideration. Please let me know if there is a gizmo that I'm missing.

Thanks for any advice or input.

Garmin Connect does this and it's free.
