GPS Data Logger - Worth It?

    Qstarz BT-Q1300S - https://www.qstarz.com/Products/GPS%...T-Q1300S-F.htm

I am looking for a GPS device to track rides and give basic info. I do not need real time info. This seems like a pretty good - less expensive - alternative to more expensive - full featured - bike oriented GPS devices on the market.

    It costs approx. $100
    Small size
Comes with decent software for tracking rides and ride stats

Online reviews are limited. Has anybody used this device or something similar?

The signal isnt as stable as my new etrex vista and it is not as accurate but the battery last longer.

I don't really think so, my original garmin e-trex only cost me $110 dollars 10 years ago and it displayed real time cordinates. The only bad thing was it didn't have maps. However it does the basics; (trip computer, record your tracks and mark waypoints).

It still works I use it as a spare and loaner to friends, it is about 10 years old and seems to be very durable. It has survived crashes, drops and rain, compared to two magellen units I had which broke within a year of purchase.

It looks like you can find it for about $75 now...
