Garmin 510 won't tell me when to turn

I made a new route for my Garmin 510 on ridewiththegps.com two weeks ago. When I followed the route I didn't get cues of when to turn. But I was notified when I was "off course" and using that I was able to navigate after trial and error. Yesterday I loaded an older route that I know told me when to turn from previous use in the past, but the same issue persisted. I could only navigate by being told I was "off course." I haven't updated the firmware in a while.

Googling didn't give any pertinent results. What do I do to fix this?

My first thought when I saw the title was shot to hell when I read your whole post - and saw that you know what you're doing regarding inserting cues into your Course on RWGPS.

My first question now is whether you see those cue points displayed on the "map" screen when you load the course onto your Garmin? Properly functioning Courses will do this even on my Forerunner 310xt, though it's possible that in order to see this screen, you might have to specifically enable the map screen when navigating the course. That option will probably be pretty well buried under the settings somewhere if you haven't already enabled it. I think there's also a summary page that should show all of the cues in a list. A cue sheet page or something. At least, I think my Edge 520 has that page.
