    XCR 1 DBL tubeless setup

The wheels on my son's 2017 Anthem Advanced 1 burped and the rim strip tore. The stock setup didn't have tubeless tape, but some thicker rim strip. I used tape, and found that the rims have a hole that leaks air.

Has anyone set up these rims with just the blue adhesive tape (or Stan's yellow tape)? If so, what size? The adhesive tape that came with the bike was 26mm...but apparently it doesn't do enough to cover up the hole on the rim or has some air going underneath the tape.

Air blows out of the valve stem base. I replaced the valve with a Stan's valve, and it happens too. It looks like the only way to get a seal is to use the included blue rim strip, or am I missing a part?

I've never had this problem with the dozen other wheels I have, quite ridiculous...

Anyone just use Stan's tape on these wheels and get it to seal up?

I used the blue tape that came with my 27 trance adv. It was my first time with tubeless wheels. I was curious about the breather holes on the carbon rims, but they leak for a short period before the Stans plugged the hole. I hope that helps a bit.
