New question here. Will a 30.9 post fit on a VT?

I've seen several posts saying that the 30.8 is a perfect fit but have also read that the 30.9 will also fit.

I've been offered a 30.9 Thomson post and would like to know if it will really fit or will have to make it fit.

If the NRS is any indication...

...(and I assume it would be), the 30.9 will fit like a glove. Not tight at all, better described as a "perfect" fit (in my case a 30.9 Race Face XY with a '01 NRS, which called for a 30.8).

I`ve taken the shim out of my VT and measured it with my micrometer and from i can gather it appears either 30.8 or 30.9 will fit......a 30.9 Thomson sounds good to me :-)
