    vt1 ?

Good evening, just built up a xl SL bike. Never felt comfortable.
I wanna get a VT1 frame as one of my riding buds have one and love his.
Will I be able to use a Z1 front fork on the VT1? What size is recommended for a 5'11" and around 31" inseam?
    TIA for any help.

... and if we just ... Medium should fit

I'm 5'8" and ride a 16.5 (small), the medium (18.5) should fit you fine.

Thx DD, that was the size I got with my first mtb, a Warp DS3, love that bike. thought the sizing was different on the VT.
Do you know if the VT1 will handle differently with the Zoke Z1 FR? Or problems with warranty when using a 5" fork?
    Thanks again for any input.

    Can't tell you about ...

the Z1 will feel because I haven't ridden one yet. Regarding the 5" of travel and warranty that shouldn't be an issue, the VT1 used to come with a Psylo that has U-Turn (3, to 5" of adjustable travel) so runing the frame at 5" should be OK.

For 2004 Giant replaced the Psylo with the Minute 1, that fork can be used at a little over 5" (130mm) so again shouldn't be an issue.

The only thing about running the VT at 5" inches the the geometry change, it feels very high at the front and the handling is a little slopy. I run mine at 4" without problems and like the handling very much even though a 5" fork is in the near future (Fox Vanilla).

    Hope this helps.
