New question here. Standard Boxxer crown, will it fit onto a DH Comp?

Isn't for me, but I'm trying to trade someone a standard crown for a drop crown, and he isn't sure if it will fit onto his bike, does anybody know about whether it will or not? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Turns out that five years of not mountain biking, really makes one strive to get back to it.

When you say standard do you mean the short crown? Rock Shox makes a short and a long crown. If you use the short crown the distance between the lower crown and the lowers will be less than 7in so, if you bottom out the lowers will hit the lower crown and possibly bust the seals. The long crown give you plenty of distance between the lower crown and the lowers which is standard on a new Giant DH.
