    Shock Lenght?

Can't find my manuel at the mo. So does anyone know the stroke lenght and eye to eye lenght of the shock for my 2007 reign?

should be 7.875 x2.00" and you can run a 7.875x2.25" shock for 0.75" more travel but it will slacken the bike out with the same % of sag on both shocks.

I can't find mine either and am not in town to measure. Anyone know the same measurements for the 05 Trance 2?

New question here. Please help anyone...

My case: just out of curiosity alone. But I know I haven't really tried that hard in searching for the answer here. Just on a nutshell, what's the shock length for an '08 Trance X.

And one more thing, I have read somewhere else here in MTBR (though I forgot where it is) that Maestro works wonders even without a 'platform' rear shock. So, I'm assuming that you could just grab as about any other rear shocks out there in market. The reason for asking is I'm eyeing for the DT-Swiss SSD carbon. Take for example, I currently have an Anthem & it tempts me more each day to ditch out my RP23 for such light carbon rear shock -- SSD carbon 152 mm measly weighs only @139grams. WS: ~100grams right away! Yeah, I know the price! But it's no concern for me. I'm only right after the dampening(?) qualities. And of course saving another 100grams off the fly! I just hope I make sense there. LoL!

    TIA!

PS» And, o0ohhhh... BTW, I'm also planning of getting a Trance X. & right after I have confirmed from you, Guys... That Maestro still rocks even sans the 'platform' rear... Then that's the only time I might be getting an SSD carbon for its rear... Thanks again.

    Trance 2 shock length

    Found my manual!

In case anyone needs to know, the 05 Trance series shock specs are:

    eye to eye : 165.1mm (6.5”)
    shock travel: 38.1mm (1.5”)
    hard ware: 22.2x6mm/40x6mm

I believe the 06 Trance series is the same specs...
