    Paging [email protected]

Need a bit o help chief. Can you post frame weights of the AC1 and VT1? How is the AC on the uphills? Which rear shock comes with the AC?
Thanks in advance for any help.

I'll try to dig up the frame weights, and post them later today.
The AC-1 complete bike comes with the Manitou Swinger 4-Way rear shock, and the AC-2 comes with the Swinger 3-Way.
The AC Frameset will come with the Swinger 4-Way.
The AC wasn't designed to be the best climber in the world, but the additions of the Swinger rear shocks has really aided it's pedaling performance. It still shines on the DH though.
Rough frame weight estimates are probably around 6.5-6.75lbs for the VT, and probably 7.5lbs or so for the AC.

    Thanks,

Thanks for the reply James. So it will really help out if I get just the frame since I get the 4 way rear shock?

The frame-only won't be out for a while yet, they almost always come in after the frames, so a complete bike would be a quicker way to go.
Your choice though! The 3-Way doesn't have the SPV Chamber adjustment on it.

*edit* Oops, wrote "couple" instead of "complete."

Hi [email protected], when you say frame only, what does that mean? Also a couple bike would be a quicker way to go, what does that mean? A complete bike?
Thanks again for all the help an sorry if I misunderstood.
Btw [email protected], can the coil shock be adjusted to take away most of the bobbing inuphills, or mebbe I can teach myself to spin better, hehehe

I prefer not to suggest any sizing on a bike without seeing the person in front of me. Years of working at shops has taught me that everyone fits bikes differently, even if they're the same size. I'd suggest heading down to the shop where you are going to buy the frame, and try one out there. If they don't have any AC bikes in stock, find out what size you'd be on an NRS or VT (s,m,l, etc), they're roughly equivilant. I.E. if you ride a M NRS, you'd probably be on a M Vt, M DH bike, M TCR, etc...

Good afternoon James. Got a call back about the available frames. Seems that all they have are 03 blue AC frames. Does this have the manitou 4 way coils and can you post of how blue the color is. Thanks in advance.

    Yeah, oops, wrong handle...
Anyway, I agree, the new colors are fantastic, plus with the polished "decals" on the tubes, it really stands out. If you're looking for the Swinger 4-Way, the AC-1 is your best bet. Plus it's got the custom 6" travel dual crown Sherman Slider with SPV.

    Cheers,
