    NRS update

Just wanted to show my baby off again since I got my Noleen Mega Air today. It arrived set up at 100mm of travel so I didn't have to do it myself. Looks awesome but I will have to wait until the morning to have a ride on it.

YES!!! Since we talked over the PM about the travel change over...bet you had a big-o-smile on your face when ya saw that 100mm setting was already done. Good deal. I lube my uppers with teflon "something" every so often.

    Figure it can't hurt, eh?

Edit=psssssst...you do know your rear shock is in the 2.75" travel mode?..right?

Is the Teflon "something" a specific stanchion lube??
Actually I just realised from your post that they are on the lower travel setting.
The XTC NRS actually comes with 3" and 3.75" setting. I set it on the 3" when I was doing a MTB orienteering event as it was all on fire roads and I figured I didn't need a lot of travel, but then I forgot to change it back. Oh well, another reason to mess with the bike on the weekend.
Only other problem is that when I did all my cabling I only had an 80mm fork and didn't run much slack. Now I have an extra 20mm of fork up front so the disc brake cable is pretty tight. Off to the LBS to get a new brake cable and housing.
Fork has a bit of stiction but not as bad as my old Marzocchi when it was new.

    Oh yeah.
    Meant to say this.
Noleen weighed in at 3lb 2.25oz with an 8.75" steerer on my digital scale vs the Duke at 3lb 13.5oz with an 8.25" steerer.
Not a bad weight saving in my book.

Hell, I just use Finish Line chain oil on the sanctions. This, and after a few rides, and that stiction loosens up quit a bit.

    Prob blow up now.
